Damazine Trip

Thanks everyone for your prayers. Our first step in establishing the secondary school was to approach the government, and we were blessed in every way. We had a good bus trip to Damazine and arrived to find the Lord had paved the way for approval.

Myself, two SIC pastors, the SRRC director, and the SPLM director were invited to a formal meeting with the county commissioner, even videotaped, in which Pastor John spoke and gave the letter from SIC requesting approval for the project. There was no resistance at all. The commissioner committed to bringing the issue to his Ministers in Kurmuk for their final approval. Following that approval, he will notify our friends in Damazine.

So, to summarize, we are waiting for the green light and praying it will turn green any day now.

I'm especially thankful for the chance to be with the people, accept their incredible hospitality, and build friendships with the two pastors.

More blessings to come,
Chris for the family
