Chris and the Caravan

As many of your know, Chris just recently went into Sudan (Yabus specifically) to prepare the compound for the secondary school. We have a few Nigerian and Ethiopian missionaries that will be residing there first to start a BELC, which stands for Basic Education Learning Center. These BELCs have been put in place to start some Accelerated Learning Programs and then eventually train teachers. Because of the HUGE lack of education and schools for so many years, they will start with the Accelerated Learning Programs and then advance with the best students to train them as teachers. These missionaries will be arriving in Nairobi November 13th and will have 3-4 weeks of training before being dispersed to their stations. We have 4 current stations, and Yabus will be the fifth.
So as Chris was there in Yabus working with the local church to get this compound prepared, it was the beginning of our relationship with this church for this specific project. All went well and he will give more details later.
Due to the lack of roads, we have to fly into and out of Sudan on dirt airstrips. It was raining during his entire 8 day trip, and getting in and out of Sudan can be a HUGE problem during the rain. But the biggest praise is that the Lord provided a Cessna Caravan today to get Chris out of Sudan. We are very thankful for our Lord Jesus Christ for providing this plane so Chris can see the birth of his son. Thomas Ollen Crowder should be born any day now. Please pray with us a praise for Chris's safe travel out of Sudan and into Nairobi. Also please pray for a safe delivery of Thomas Ollen Crowder. We can't wait to meet him!
